BOSTON, MARCH 3, 2021 -- GivingData announced today that Astrik Tenney has joined the company as Principal, Business Development. Tenney previously managed grantmaking operations and community relations for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, a private foundation that is one of the largest scholarship providers in the United States.

In her new role, Tenney will advise foundations on ways to adopt technology and practices that will best position them to maximize their impact. In her previous role as grants program manager at the Cooke Foundation, Tenney managed a grants portfolio of more $7 million in philanthropic investments.

Tenney brings an extensive background in grants management and program development. As program manager at the Cooke Foundation, she was responsible for the seamless functioning of the foundation’s grantmaking operations during the entire grant lifecycle. She also worked closely with grantee organizations to support, build and scale their programs.
Astrik served as a proposal reviewer for a number of funders and grantmaker affinity groups, and volunteers with her local nonprofit community in the greater Washington DC region. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Georgetown University.
